GOT7 has confirmed that they will return with new music, launch new social media pages, and unveil a refreshed logo.

Today (May 6), the K-pop boyband created several new social media pages on Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok. Along with the new channels, the group also unveiled an animated teaser video with a brand new logo, which features a 3D model of a seven-pointed star.

GOT7 also apparently adopted a new tagline, “GOT7 is our name,” as the caption in most of their new posts after the rebranding.

Additionally, a press release from Warner Music Korea confirms that GOT7 is set to release new music in the near future. “The brand [are] is expected to release a new project in May,” the press release reads, although project details have yet to be released.

The updates come shortly after South Korean media reported late last month that the K-pop boy group would be making a “full group comeback” in May. The reports also claimed that all members’ solo activities will be “on hold for the time being” so that they can focus on the group’s upcoming return to music.

GOT7’s next project will be their second music as a full group since the seven members left longtime agency JYP Entertainment in January last year, with their first being the single “Encore” in February 2021.

In a previous interview, member Mark Tuan hinted at what appear to be plans for him to stay in South Korea for the foreseeable future, saying, “I think I could stay in Korea for a long time, so I brought everything.” He has been in the East Asian country so far for just over two months now, since arriving after Paris Fashion Week in March.
