USFL: Panthers and Gamblers social media accounts play Connect Four game despite weather delays

The Houston Gamblers and Michigan Panthers are set to face off in Game 2 of the United States Football League on Sunday.

Although the noon start of the match was delayed by the weather, that didn’t stop the two teams’ Twitter accounts from battling it out ahead of the contest.

“Stuck in a weather lag let’s play a game @USFLGamblers,” the Panthers account wrote, along with a photo of a game that looked like Connect Four.

Both accounts posted updates on the battle over the next 20 minutes or so.

The Gamblers ultimately emerged victorious.

After the pregame competition, the USFL Twitter account chimed in.

USFL REVEALS RULES WITH CORNER KICKOFF

“The first W of the day goes to the @USFLGamblers,” the USFL wrote.

Sunday’s actual game will see former NFL coach Jeff Fisher lead the Panthers against the Gamblers and former Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin at Protective Stadium in Birmingham, Alabama.
