Chicago Sun-Times Appoints Media Sales Veteran Mary Hoffman VP of Advertising

CHICAGO (March 18, 2022) – the Chicago Sun-Times today announced the appointment of Mary Hoffman as Vice President of Advertising. With more than 20 years of successful media sales, she will lead the Sun-Times’ the advertising sales team to focus on growing advertising accounts and developing new business for the organization.

Hoffmann joined the Chicago Sun-Times in 2019 and most recently served as VP of Classifieds.

“Mary is a proven leader in publishing and media sales, and she will bring her experience in relationship building and customer service to this role to help advertisers rethink what the new Chicago Sun-Times means to their brands and this great city,” said Nykia Wright, CEO of Chicago Sun-Times.

Before the Sun-TimesHoffman spent 20 years at Chicago Grandstand where she started in sales support, grew to manage the digital support team and held commercial roles within the local, real estate and key account teams. She also has a background in multimedia, including digital, print, trade publications, outdoor billboards and direct mail.

“In my new role at the Sun Times, I am committed to using my past experience and knowledge to lead the sales team to help all Chicago businesses succeed and grow,” Hoffman said.
